Chef Ramsey goes to a restaurant owned by 2 people were divorced after what looks like a stormy relationship but are still partners in a failing restaurant. haha. No way! The first course served to Ramsey was soup and it was cold. Next course was raw fish. OMG! Besides the disappointing food, there’s screaming, screaming and more screaming in the kitchen.
After the break, there’s still disharmony and still bad food. After service, he goes downstairs and discovers all kinds of disgusting old food. Lot’s of it. YUK. All hell breaks loose and get’s interesting.
He changes the menu to more of a Cuban style fare and things begin to turn around. Or, at least I thought they would. Not a chance. It was chaotic in the cucina but calmed down when the guy left.
OK. The couple are going to try and work together under a new menu, a new restaurant design and new attitudes.
It was slow going and the cook was messing up something fierce. Wrong orders going out; cold food going out; and on top of everything else, the food was going out slow. Sheesh.
In my opinion, the cook, or head chef, is the master of the kitchen. Ya got to shout out to people what you need. Ya got to shout out to the servers that there food is up.
Anyways, Marcelo got back in the kitchen and did the right thing. His ex-wife and him became better in regards to working together and the night ended on a better note.
