American Idol Top 9

I don’t know what to expect tonight. I am sure there will be some surprises and disappointments as usual. Should be entertaining. Especially with the judges being on the sugar sweet high thigh they’ve been on. Pia Toscano is supposed to sing a fast song. I think she does a great job with the ballads. Let’s see how she does. And, I am looking forward to Jacob Lusk as well.
Jacob Lusk – (A+) He deserved this. Even though he lost his earpiece he was right on in pitch. KUDOS
Haley Reinhart – (B) Moving up a bit. She did an alright job with that song. Janis Joplin is tough to do.
Casey Abrams – (B) Took a grade down this week. Good bass player, I like the bass, butit seemed like a lounge act to me.
Lauren Alaina – (C+) She did better than last week. But still reminds of karaoke. Sorry you Lauren fans. I think I will mute the judges from here on out.
James Durbin – (A) Started off real flat. But picked it up, or brought it up and did a great job with that song. As skeptical as I was, I turned around about a minute into the song.
Scotty McCreery – (B) Did better than last week so I bumped him. He’s grown a bit since he first started.
Pia Toscano – (A+) WOW!!!!! Best of the night so far. Man, that was great. I was not a fan of that song until she started getting into it a little. That was great. Still at a A+!
Stefano Langone – (B) Another singer that got a step up in grade from last week. Not bad. Surprised me.
Paul McDonald – (F) Nuff said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please take the Poll. It’s the best and the worse.
Bottom 3? Paul, Casey, and Lauren.

Surprise! I don’t totally agree with Kieto this week….
I could only hope that America really listens to Paul with their ears and not with their eyes and they send him home, but I can’t see that happening yet, so I’m going out on a limb and picking Stefano to go home..,,no reason other than he’s been in the bottom before.

I had this all filled out down to Paul and got bumped off the page. It’s 2:22 a.m. and I’m getting bleary-eyed! And I don’t remember what I wrote about everyone!
I miss Simon! These 3 are bubbling over with sweetness and light. Bleech!
Jacob A Better than I expected
Hailey B- She carries that growling and screeching too far. @ or 3 times in a song would prove that she can do it. It’s not necessary in every line.
Casey B
Lauren B- Better than I expected
James A Thought he was off at first but maybe it’s because I’m tired because I thought he ended up great.
Scotty B-
Pia A+ And they said it couldn’t be done….by her! I thought she was fantastic and just proved her versatility. But then I thought Katherine McPherson was fantastic too, so what do I know?
Stefano B Another better than I expected.
Paul D Probably his best so far…..notice the D……and he sang it on 4 notes. OK, maybe 5.
Do I have to tell you who I think should go home? I’m not changing my mind, no matter how much you beg me to. If it had to be a female going home, I’d say Hailey.

Tonight’s outcome was totally unacceptable! I could care less who wins now….

Sorry I couldn’t play this week, as I was out last night, so tonight I watched performance/results back to back. No way would I have put Pia or Jacob in the bottom 3. And I would have joined the chorus calling for Paul’s demise, because I really thought he was awful. I was never an over-the-top fan of Pia’s, because I thought she was technically very good but sort of bloodless. But: going home? Before Paul and Stefano? No way!

Sorry, Kieto, but you have lost me as a loyal contributor here. I think that the problem is that it is mostly teenage girls who call in to vote, and there is no way that they are going to vote for a female when there are hot guys singing. Especially one who looks and sounds as good as Pia does.
