Many people from around the world have different opinions about the people who live in the United States. Some hate us. Some love us. And some just don't care one way or another.
One of the greatest things about the United Sates is you are free to express your beliefs. You are free to say what you want. It's called freedom of speech. However, and another thing that makes this country great is the fact that for everything a person believes, there are those who feel, believe and think different.
We have freedom of religion and every American has the right to the pursuit of happiness.
This is still a young nation. We fought for our Independence just two hundred and forty years ago. When I was in my early teens, I knew a lady who was 105 yrs. old. Her Mother lived to be 100 also. And her Mother lived a long time too. Although we are one nation, many see things different because of their heritage and culture. Look at it this way. We're not too much unlike any family anywhere. We have our problems, our blacksheep, our arguements, and our tragedies. But we become one big family if this nation ever suffers a loss, a tragedy, or an attack.
I believe there are good people everywhere. They could be a cab driver, a teacher, a delivery person, a blue collar worker, a pizza maker, a butcher, or, you get the point. Fact is, thy work in every imaginable profession and each of those professions make this country tick.
As you read from day to day, know this. This is a day to day ezine and I don't write about a day until the night before. It isn't a story that has been finished, or, even started but instead, a work in progress.
Tomrrow is our first day of our journey across the United States and we will be in Honolulu, Hawaii. Ziggy and I are so ready and excited. We will meet folks, check out different things, find out what the states are popular for and most importantly, eat. Of course, you'll get the recipes for whatever we eat for your collections.
